Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO Dehradun announces a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on “Overview of Space Science and Technology” for School students. The objective of this online course is to provide knowledge and awareness to school students on various aspects of Space Science and technology. During this course, the technical sessions will be delivered by eminent space scientists of India. It will be a unique opportunity for young generation to understand this exciting domain of space technology.

Objective: The overall objective of this course is to make awareness among school students on Space Science and technology.

APL Problem Solving Competition - 2022

 

Learn APL, have fun, and maybe be a prizewinner!

Dyalog Ltd invites you to use the APL programming language and your problem solving skills to compete for a total of USD 6,500 in cas prizes and a paid trip to the next Dyalog user meeting. Additionally, if you refer a student to the competition and they receive a cash prize, you will receive an equivalent amount as a referral award.

The competition is free to enter. The deadline for submission is Friday 29 July 2022 at 23:59 BST.

Overview

The competition consists of two parts:

• Phase 1 asks you to solve 10 puzzles by writing short APL functions, allowing you to demonstrate array-oriented thinking. You can begin without registering — your solutions should be stored by your browser until you decide to register and submit them (not all browsers do this).
• Phase 2 comprises a collection of more difficult problems, each having one or two tasks. In addition to requiring array-oriented thinking, this enables you to show off your ability to write larger amounts of well-documented, high-quality, code.

The competition closes. All entries must be submitted by this time. It doesn't matter when you submit your entries as long as it's before this deadline. You can submit as many times as you like – only your final submission before the deadline will be judged. Submissions will not be judged until after this deadline.

Inter-school Cryptic Crossword Contest returns for 2022

 India's biggest crossword contest for school students has returned for its 1oth edition this May. Students in Classes 7–12 can now register in teams of two for the ‘CCCC’ Cryptic Crossword Contest 2022, run by Patna civil society group Extra-C.

Recorded by the Limca Book of Records as the largest event of its kind, the CCCC unfolds every year as a pan-India test of memory, vocabulary and crafty wordplay. Registrations opened this year on May 15 on crypticsingh.com.

Schedule for CCCC 2022 -The contest will run in three stages from May to November. Stage 1 of the CCCC will have four online rounds that will take place on successive Sundays:

May 29 – Practice Round

June 05 – Round 1

June 12 – Round 2

June 19 – Round 3

For each round, a crossword grid with clues will be uploaded at 2pm on crypticsingh.com. Each team will have to solve and submit the grid by 5pm. All interested teams must register on the official website.

Summer Reading Projects

 

Kendriya Vidyalaya OEF Hazratpur is providing the Reading Challenge / Summer Reading Projects for the students during the summer vacations. It is compulsory for all the students to participate in the above said activity. Annual Project Marks / Literary Project Marks will be awarded to each and every student of the basis of these summer challenge activities. The certificates will be given to each and every Successful  Participant.

Reading Challenge Projects for Students :

1. Class 1 to 5 - Story Creation (कहानी लेखन )

बच्चे हिंदी या अंग्रेजी भाषा में एक स्वनिर्मित कहानी लिखकर नीचे दिए लिंक पर अपलोड का सकते हैं  | बच्चे कहानी रिकॉर्ड / विडिओ बनाकर करके भी अपलोड कर सकते हैं | कहानी  हस्तलिखित (Handwritten) हो तथा कम से कम 300 शब्द तथा  दो रंगीन चित्र (Colored Picture) भी कहानी के सम्बन्ध में बनाये जाने चाहिए | यदि आप विडियो / ऑडियो बनाकर भेज रहे है तो आवाज साफ़ तथा  विडियो कम से 3 मिनट  का होना चाहिए | विडियो बनाकर या  YouTube पर अपलोड किया जा सकता है | 

(कम से कम 500 शब्द या 3 मिनट) 

2. Class 6 to 8 - Story Writing  (कहानी लेखन )/ Biography (जीवनी )

a. बच्चे हिंदी या अंग्रेजी भाषा में एक स्वनिर्मित कहानी लिखकर नीचे दिए लिंक पर अपलोड का सकते हैं  | बच्चे कहानी रिकॉर्ड / विडियो बनाकर  करके भी अपलोड कर सकते हैं | 

(कम से कम 500 शब्द या 3 मिनट)

b. जीवनी  गतिविधि के अंतर्गत किसी भी महापुरुष की जीवनी अंग्रेजी या हिंदी किसी भी भाषा में लिखकर या अपना विडियो बनाकर या  YouTube पर अपलोड किया जा सकता है |

(कम से कम 500 शब्द या 3 मिनट)
