As
a part of Republic Day celebration, an online quiz competition, essay competition
and poetry competition on the theme of “Indian Constitution, struggle for freedom, warriors of
Indian independence” is being organized by the Ministry of Education in
association with Ministry of Defence from 20th January to 30th January 2021.
The Essay and Poetry Competition are meant for school students of classes VI to XII from schools under CBSE, KVS, NVS, NIOS and all school boards/SCERTs at the State/UT Level.
प्रतियोगिता केवल छठी से बारहवीं कक्षा के स्कूली छात्रों के लिए खुली है। हिंदी एवं अंग्रेजी दोनों भाषाओँ में प्रतिभागिता की जा सकती है | एक प्रतिभागी केवल एक एंट्री भेज सकता है। यदि यह पाया जाता है कि किसी भी प्रतिभागी ने एक से अधिक एंट्री भेजी हैं, तो सभी प्रविष्टियों को अमान्य माना जाएगा। साहित्यिक चोरी को स्वीकार नहीं किया जाएगा। एंट्री ओरिजनल होना चाहिए।
Word Limits of Essay for each theme
The essay should be within 1500* word limit.
The essay
should not exceed word limit. This would lead to disqualification.
Word
Limits of Patriotic Poetry Writing for each theme
The poem
should be within 100 word limit.

Under the ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ initiated by our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi, Toycathon-2021 is conceived to challenge India’s innovative minds to conceptualize novel Toy and Games based on Bharatiya civilization, history, culture, mythology and ethos.
Toycathon 2021 is an inter-ministerial initiative organized by Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell with support from All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Currently, India’s toy market stands at around 1.5 Billion USD, which primarily is dominated by imported toys. Moreover, majority of these toys do not represent Indian heritage, civilization and value systems.
